Lyrics question....help, who sings these???

Two songs have been bouncing around in my head and the search engines don't seem to be doing the trick so, I bring it to you. WHAT SONGS ARE THESE???

1. And everything that's beautiful in me, I get from you. (ballad, 90's era)

2. Am I over my head, am I out of my mind? (alterna-pop, 90's. was all over the radio back in the day)

Any help ya' could give me would be most appreciated. TIA

I'm gonna need a little more help than that. Could you have misunderstood, or can't exactly remember the lyrics? If so, song 2 might be "Inside Out" by Eve 6 ???
No idea on the first one, but I'm usually all over ballads. Was it a rock/sleaze band that did it, or a top 40 type?
